East Ballina Interior & Exterior Repaint — Barry & Faye’s Home Refresh
This project in East Ballina was a really enjoyable one - the kind of job where you get to know the homeowners and see the place evolve in stages. I first completed the interior repaint late last year, and then returned in May to finish the full exterior repaint.
Interior Repaint - Freshening Up the Heart of the Home
The inside had seen a few DIY attempts over the years, so the prep was a bit of a mission. Lots of sanding, patching and tightening things up to get the walls back to a clean, even base. We kept the process simple and non-disruptive by working one area at a time, finishing each section fully before moving on so Barry and Faye could stay comfortable at home throughout.
Everything was brushed and rolled in Dulux premium interior paints, giving the home a crisp, warm feel without spraying or heavy masking. The result was a clean, modern interior that still feels like their space.
Exterior Repaint - Built for Coastal Conditions
East Ballina cops its fair share of weather - salt air, humidity, the whole lot. So before painting, the exterior was pressure washed at 3000 PSI to strip away years of buildup and expose what needed attention. After that, we worked through the full prep list: sanding, repair work, gaps, fillers, all the essentials that make a repaint last.
The home was finished in a multi-colour scheme using Dulux Weathershield Low Sheen, chosen for its durability and coastal performance. Brushed and rolled the whole way, the exterior came up beautifully - clean lines, sharp details and a finish that properly protects the home in this coastal climate.
Barry and Faye were legends to work with. Easygoing, great communicators, and genuinely excited to see the home refreshed inside and out.
